2,000 workers jabbed via OVP Vaccine Express program
SOME 2,000 essential workers in Pampanga were jabbed through the Office of the Vice President’s (OVP) Vaccine Express program.
The LausGroup Event Centre located in the City of San Fernando, with its capacity for social distancing and well-sanitized facilities and surroundings, was chosen by the OVP for the first Vaccine Express to be conducted in the province.
Prior to Pampanga, Vice President Leni Robredo and her team have visited several cities in and out of Metro Manila since June to help speed up local government units’ vaccination program.
Under the program, OVP assembles a medical team and other volunteers to implement the initiative, with the LGU’s supervision, and provide post-vaccination kits to successful vaccinees.
In Pampanga, the OVP teamed up with the City Government of San Fernando for the master list of patients who will be vaccinated, as well as oversee the registration of vaccinees, provide the vaccines and direct the flow of patients inside the vaccination site with the help of various partners.
The team inoculated individuals under the A4 category or essential workers to protect them from the virus as the province slowly opens up its economy.
The target vaccinees are all pre-registered with the City Government and only those who are pre-registered will be allowed to enter.
As an incentive, those who are vaccinated will be given a post-vaccination care kit, which includes 10 pieces of paracetamol, 10 pieces of Vitamin C and one bottled water from the OVP.
